Critique Partner Match Program

The NHWP Critique Partner Match Program matches writers in small groups for peer editing, critique, and commentary. Once matched, we encourage you and your partners to meet regularly (a minimum of four times over the course of the four-month cycle) to share and give comment on your current projects. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow writers, engage creatively, and receive some useful feedback on your writing.

Please note this service is for active NHWP members only! If you are not currently or yet a member, please join here first before signing up: Join the NHWP.

How it Works

Please fill out the Critique Partner Match Form, which we will use to identify possible partners in your region or nearby. We will meet on January 13, 2024, beginning at 10:00am at the Ford House and via Zoom to assign suitable matches (sign up information below).  Ideally, we will assign you to a group of 3-5 critique partners.  You will then be left to your own devices to exchange sections of your work and organize meetups (preferably in person) where you offer critique and commentary.

Critique matching is sort of like dating. We will strive to pair people the best we can, but you might get matched with a person or group that is not a good fit for you. If this happens, don’t become discouraged! Let us know. Sometimes we can find matches for people after the program is underway if others are having problems with their match as well. Or sometimes it might not work out this round, but there could be better opportunities when we offer this in future.

Where: This is a hybrid event, it will be offered at the Ford House (SNHU, 2500 N River Rd, Hooksett, NH) and via Zoom.

When: January 13, 2024, 10:00AM-12:15PM

Cost: Free for members only
