The final round of competition in the 2023 Three Minute Fiction Slam is taking place in just a few days, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Webster Hall on the SNHU Hooksett/Manchester Campus. The event kick’s off at 5 PM.
Participants in the final round of the annual contest are vying for bragging rights and a $250 cash prize.
Each of the finalists won their local competition. The finalists are:
- “There Might Not Be Elk” by Jeff Duboff, Derry/Southern NH Regional
- Mallory Warner, Keene Regional, title unknown
- “The Refrigerator” by John Tohy, Manchester Regional
- “Swelling by the Road” by Brenna Manuel, Monadnock Writers Group Regional
- “Squirrel” by Alyson Miller, Nashua Regional
In the event the finalist is unable to attend Saturday’s contest, the runner up from the region will take their place.
The Runners-Up are:

- “The Light in Her Eyes” by David Agans, Manchester Regional
- “The Light in Her Eyes” by David Agans, Monadnock Writers Group Regional
- “Stem” by Joseph Carrabis, Nashua Regional
