Her short story collection\, Rise\, received the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction\, and her work has appeared in The Pushcart Prize Anthology\, PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories\, One Story\, The Southern Review\, and American Short Fiction. Her novel\, The Vanishing Sky\, was a New York Times Book Review Selection for Summer and an Indie Next Pick. \nDuring this special literary salon\, Binder will discuss the inspiration behind Child of Earth and Starry Heaven\, a memoir that blends mythology\, poetry\, science\, and history to explore memory\, motherhood\, and the impact of Alzheimer’s disease.
