Summer Teen Writers Conference

"Meeting so many cool people who write was one of the best feelings in my entire life. I felt like I belonged, like people actually cared about what I work on, what really matters to me.
My writing is everything to me. Getting feedback and improving my story was incredibly helpful and I am super grateful to the people who read my book chapters and gave me advice. This conference was life changing for me and for my writing career going forward.
I met amazing people, made great friends and came away with a great, positive feeling. I’ve changed as a person and as a writer and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you to everyone who participated!" -- A workshop participant

The New Hampshire Writers’ Project and the Nashua Community College Honors Program host a week-long July conference for teens interested in developing their writing chops.

The New Hampshire Teen Summer Writers’ Workshop focuses on fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry. Participants learn to give and receive peer feedback and partake in seminars in fiction, poetry, drama, and nonfiction narrative presented by local writers and writing teachers.

“We have a dream-team faculty,” said R.W.W. Greene, conference organizer and chair of the NHWP’s board of trustees. “If it were a superhero team, I think it would be right up there with the Avengers and X-Men.”
