NHWP Programs

The New Hampshire Writers' Project offers a variety of quality programs and services for the writing community. Our programs include:



Writer's Night Out, montly gatherings held throughout the state

NHWP Workshops, on a variety of topics, ranging from craft to promotion

NHWP Critique Workshops, single and multiple-day workshops designed to offer feedback

NHWP Write-ins, a dedicated day for authors to write and socialize

Hatbox Readings,  semi-regular event where an actor reads entertaining selections from 'works in progress' by three NHWP authors, and the audience offers feedback, critique, and reactions



The NHWP Critique Partner Match, a program to pair writers for peer editing, critique, and commentary

NHWP Socials, usually held quarterly as a chance to meet and socialize with other NH authors



Writers' Day, the largest writing conference in New Hampshire

Three-Minute Fiction Slam, which challenges writers from across the state to compete in a fun contest with cash and prizes

The Charley Allen Faulk Memorial Scholarship, for NH high-school seniors

NHWP Student Essay Contest, awarded to one high school and one college winner

Summer Teen Writing Workshop, a week-long July conference for teens

NH Writers' Week, a week-long schedule of events late in the year celebrating NH writers



The Literary Calendar, which keeps the public up to date about happenings around the state

NH Writers Map, showing the location of authors and author resources around the state

NHWP List of NH Authors Available to Appear at Book Clubs.
